Poway Country Preschool has been serving the children of Poway for over 20 years. Poway Country Preschool is a unique preschool and daycare center. Full-day preschool and half-day preschool sessions and extended daycare program for after school children. The center is open from 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Open year round except for folidays. Poway Country Preschool believes that learning is at an optimum when children are encouraged to select their own activities, make their own choices, set their own pace and make their own discoveries. Different activity centers are arranged throughout the room with materials readily available. Teacher direction will be in the form of friendly guidance, positive reinforcement and rechanneling of inappropriate behavior. The cirriculum covers a general theme each month and daily lesson plans will reinforce these themes throughout a variety of structured and unstructured activities.
